My vow to paint more this year is holding true. Earlier this year, I wrote about wanting to paint more in this post. I seem to be able to sit down with my paints once a week, and I don't think that's quite enough. But once a week is a start! Here's where I'm at … Continue reading painting update 3.1.2018
Here's my latest painting - a painting from a photograph of my love and I taken in the summer of 2012. Acrylic on stretched canvas, it measures 20 inches wide by 16 high. Here's my latest painting. It's acrylic, with a bit of black marker, on canvas, and measures 10 x 10 inches. I like the grid pattern, and will use that again in future paintings.

I've been home for 3 days, after being away for 10. I didn't draw every single day while on the road, but am pleased with what I did accomplish. I took pencils, colored pencils, paper, and my small watercolor set, and sat down (almost) each day to draw or paint. Drawing and painting helped me … Continue reading back home 1.27.2015
I won't write much today, and know I didn't write at all last week. I'm still drawing every day, and some days it's only for 15 minutes. But I am drawing. Here are three small paintings I gave to my three children for Christmas.
I've completed a painting. At least I think it's complete. I can't think of a time I've NOT wanted to make minor adjustments to my pieces. My last painting was completed two years ago, so I'm darn happy that I am back at it! Here's a collection of four photos I took while I progressed … Continue reading painting 11.22.2014
