slab vases 10.27.2016

Earlier this year, I posted about a found piece of rust for which I built a vase from slabs of clay. Delighted with the result, I planned a series, creating slab-built vases to match the differently-sized rust pieces. The last vase came out of the kiln earlier this week. Today, I’m documenting the vases pre-rust. Here are a few of the images.
