Below is a photo of half of my latest batch of pots thrown on the wheel. There are another 6 bowls along with these mugs, and all are now drying, then will be bisque fired. Following that first firing, there’s the joy/predicament/worry of deciding how to glaze the pieces. You can see that a couple of these mugs have “slip” painted on them, and that slip will show through the final glaze I add to the mugs.
There are SO MANY things I want to try with clay, and I’m feeling a little frantic with all the ways there are to design and build and decorate. I’m hoping that after a short time, I’ll figure out what I want to focus on. But right now, it feels a little overwhelming.
